I’m a big fan of challenges. I think a lot of positive change can happen in a short amount of time which is why I especially love 30 day challenges. It’s always fun to push myself and see what I’m able to accomplish. If you’re reading this, I’m thinking you might be a fan too?
My love for challenges inspired the idea for today’s post. I wanted to share some of the best thirty day challenges out there!
I’m not the only one who loves 30 day challenges, Matt Cutts (former head of spam team at Google) does too:
I tried to find a variety of challenges that can and will change your life. There are some related to fitness, yoga, gratefulness, affirmations and more. I hope you find at least one that you’d like to try and I encourage you to give it a whirl!
A lot can happen in 30 days.

30 Day Water Challenge
I used to struggle with drinking water, period. I found that having a water bottle with me during the day really, really helps. Some days I still struggle to get all those ounces in but having a water bottle nearby with ice cold water is so helpful to me. If you struggle to drink plain water, you could try those flavor packets. My kids are loving those right now.

30 Day Affirmation Challenge by Brian Tracy
Affirmations are huge. It might sound tacky to say things to yourself repeatedly out loud but there’s a reason it’s recommended: it works. One of the very first homework assignments I received when I started therapy as a teenager was writing “I love me” 100 times. I remember feeling super silly at the time but it’s always a great reminder to focus on the positive and remember that we need to love and care for ourselves! It’s so easy for us to get caught up in believing negative thoughts, it’s up to us to keep up with the positive messages too.
I love that this infographic provides examples for 30 days. I can’t wait to try this one!

30 Day Yoga Challenge for Beginners
I’ll admit that I used to find the idea of yoga so boring. Back in the day I thought it was for hippies and celebrities. gasp! As I get older I’m really learning to appreciate yoga and I have more interest in it now than ever before. I find it to be so calming and it does wonders for flexibility and strength.

30 Days of Reflection
Reflecting is something that gets lost in translation a lot these days. With the crazy hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, it’s so easy to forget to reflect on ourselves and the lives we’re living. I thought this challenge was an amazing idea to be in the moment and really think about life and what we want for ourselves.

30 Days of Prayer Journaling
Prayer journaling is a newer hobby I’ve discovered but haven’t yet tried. It’s insane what people do in their Bibles to help them learn God’s word. There are many different ways to do prayer journaling and I think this challenge will help me get started and I thought it could help others too.

The Miracle Morning 30 Day Life Transformation Challenge
This is a book I don’t yet have but it’s on my wishlist for sure. I’ve heard so many great things about this book and I hope to read it sooner rather than later.
“Hal Elrod is a genius and his book The Miracle Morning has been magical in my life. What Hal has done is taken the ‘best practices’—developed over centuries of human consciousness development—and condensed the ‘best of the best; into a daily morning ritual. A ritual that is now part of my day.” —ROBERT KIYOSAKI, #1 bestselling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad

30 Days to Better Sleep
I know a lot of people with sleep issues. Some rely on sleep aids for sleep, others just experience trouble sleeping or falling asleep. I didn’t think this post would be complete without a sleep challenge.
I tried to find a good one but I found that all the ones I found pretty much all had one tip in common: try to go to bed 30 minutes earlier for 30 days.
If you’re used to staying up until midnight it’s not really reasonable to expect that you could fall asleep much earlier than 30 minutes prior to midnight. A realistic challenge would be to aim for going to bed 30 minutes earlier for 30 days. And then you can try to increase your sleep time by another 30 minutes the following month.
Other tips to help you sleep:
- Room darkening curtains/blinds/shades
- Cool bedroom temperature
- Turn off electronics (cell phones, tablets, etc.) at least one hour prior to bedtime
- Lavender essential oil (therapeutic grade) or spray– I swear by this stuff!

#Money30 Challenge
This challenge is probably more for beginners or those new to personal finance and money management. If you have a good grip on your finances this may not be for you but I know it will help some people because it helped me!
This isn’t your typical savings challenge, this is a “money” challenge. Each day provides you with a prompt to cut bills, get in the habit of saving money and just providing a general overview for tips on how to manage your money.
For example:
Day 1: Declare your intention to do #Money30
Day 2: Check your free credit report
Day 3+: See the entire list here.
**********
I think this is probably more than enough to keep you busy for awhile! I hope you find a challenge that resonates with you.
Pick one and go for it!
You got this.
