Hammer and Chisel is NUTS

Hammer and Chisel is a challenging home fitness strength training program that will kick your butt. Basically. There are two trainers this around: Sagi Kalev (of Body Beast) and Autumn Calabrese (of 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme). Those are all easily in my top 5 home fitness programs of all time. The other two being ChaLean Extreme and of course, Les Mills Pump.

Roger bought me Hammer and Chisel for Christmas and even though I started it prior to Christmas, I am still not done yet. Note: The program is 56 days long. I should be done by now. I’ve kind of been piddling around with it but it’s definitely helping me get back into regular workouts – even though I probably average 3 workouts per week instead of six. I can tell you that most of my weeks in 2015 averaged 0 to 1 workout. I call that progress. :)

Hammer and Chisel Thoughts so Far

  • Difficult but fun.
  • I’m seeing rapid improvement even with my less than perfect schedule.
  • If you go as hard as you can for as long as you can, you cannot fail and you will get results.
  • Sagi still makes me laugh. His accent is refreshing. In one of the cool down stretches in a workout Sagi says something like, “We’ve been busy, you don’t want to get dizzy.” I laugh. Every. Time.
  • Lift as heavy as you can.
  • I love the reminders from the trainers, especially Autumn, to keep everything tight during lifting exercises. It makes your entire body work and when you start to get tired, it’s easy to forget and lose good form.
  • The modifier is great for those who don’t have a weight bench at home.

Who is Hammer and Chisel for?

  • Anyone who likes a challenge.
  • Anyone who’s looking for serious results.
  • Anyone. (Unless you have injuries or conditions that make it difficult to perform various strength training moves)

===> My Bella girl coming to my level after finishing Chisel Cardio. I think she was making sure I was okay. Thoughtful girl she is!

I hope to get a workout in tonight but my belly is being a beast this morning. Sippin’ on Pepto. Mmmmmmm. I hope it settles down sooner rather than later.

XOXO
