A Visit from My Sweat Angel

I personally think that one of the best rewards a workout can give you is a sweat angel. When you lay on the ground with your lungs burning and your body feeling absolutely blasted, it’s fun to see a reminder of how hard you worked (as soon as you’re able to get up off the floor).

I just completed the hardest leg workout I’ve done in a really, really long time. It was one of those workouts where I felt like giving up but I pushed through and gave it all I had instead.

When I was finished I was basically a puddle on the floor. When I finally was able to catch my breath enough and felt strong enough to move, I got up and saw this:

My sweat angel!

The workout I did was Day of the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines.

I’ve seen so many testimonials and progress photos from fellow fitness people on Instagram and I’ve been amazed by what they’ve accomplished. (Kayla often shares testimonials from others on her account.) Some chose to do the program to lose weight, others chose the program to gain strength and I’ve even seen some talk about how they were having body issues and struggling with anorexia and/or bulimia and learned how to take care of their bodies in a healthy way by feeding it nourishing foods and sweating through some tough workouts.

Lately I can’t seem to stick to one workout program so I’ve been jumping all over trying different things. I’ve definitely hit a stretch where everything bores me. That’s not good! But I do find that trying different things helps to keep me interested during this rough patch. I tend to do better during the fall and winter months.

I like the Bikini Body Guide workout program because it consists of four, seven minute circuits for each day’s workout. There’s also room for LISS and HIIT training in the schedule. I haven’t completely decided whether or not to go for it but I’ll definitely be keeping the workouts in my back pocket. Just 28 minutes for an intense workout? I’ll take it. :)

The program itself is fairly expensive but there are discounts available here. (not an affiliate link) If you’ve been thinking about trying this workout or would like to know more about it, just search Instagram and Google for testimonials – they’re everywhere.

I hope you get your workout in today!
