5 Quick Workouts For a Busy Week

When I know a week is going to be busy it helps me stay on track when I choose shorter, more intense workouts that I can get done quickly but that still get the job done! This week is going to be one of those busy weeks. It kicks off today with our wedding anniversary (7 years!) and wraps up with a busy Sunday of rounding up all the kids and getting ready for a new week.

5 quick workouts I plan to do this week:

Burpee and Plank Challenge

Whether you love or hate burpees you can’t deny that they’re an effective fat burning, calorie scorching cardio move! I just do basic burpees – with the jump at the end.

Quickie Weekend Workout: Rowing and Deadlifts

I loved doing this workout! It’s been some time since I went rowing so I’m really looking forward to this one. A good mix of strength and cardio to get the job done.

Insanity Fit Test

I got a little over halfway through with Insanity before my body felt like it pooped out and I’m ashamed to admit I just never went back. It’s HARD! I swear I will complete the program as scheduled one day. For this week, I’m sticking with the Fit Test.

You can see more about that and my results here.

20 Minute Intense Cardio Workout

20 minute intense cardio workout tone and tighten

A nice variety of cardio and strength training moves to get a full body workout in 2o minutes? Can’t go wrong with this one!

Luscious Legs Workout

This is a tough workout but I got through it fairly quickly. Since I’ll be going more for speed than strength this time, I’ll stick to a medium weight for the squats and lunges. I’ll be using my DemonBell for the kb swings!

Here’s the plan:

  • Rest 60 seconds between squat sets
  • Do 50 consecutive kettlebell swings
  • Rest 90 seconds between curtsy lunges
  • Do 50 consecutive burpees (will probably have to rest at times, but only for long enough to catch my breath and keep going)

Knowing this week is going to be a busy one makes me feel like I can still get my workouts in with this schedule! I’ll be sure to post an update about how it all went next week. :)
