Good morning and happy motivation Monday! I hope you had a fun weekend! I spent mine recuperating after my wisdom teeth extractions on Friday morning. Sounds great, huh? I’m still sore (especially if I don’t keep up with pain management) and I can’t wait to eat something crunchy again! With that said, this upcoming week is going to be pretty busy and I need to buckle down and focus on my workouts – which is why I’m writing this post.
Whether I like it or not, I’m going to be doing a lot of running this week! I have a 5K coming up on Saturday that I am nowhere near prepared for. I would blame it on getting my wisdom teeth removed this past Friday but let’s face it, I hadn’t done much preparation up to that point either. Whoops! This 5K is close to my heart and I will finish it. You would think signing up for a 5K would be motivation enough to start running more but did that happen? LOL. No, of course not.
The weather is supposed to be amazing this week after a pretty cool weekend. I’m very much looking forward to sun and sandal weather again!
This week’s workout plan
As I’m sure you can tell by the title, this week’s workout plan will include a lot of running. At least, that’s the plan. Not a lot of running by a runner’s standards but definitely a lot of running by my standards. :)
- Monday: Chest + jog at least 20 minutes
- Tuesday: Back + light jog
- Wednesday: Legs + rowing machine
- Thursday: Shoulders, Arms + light jog
- Friday: PiYo Upper and Lower + light jog
- Saturday: Lace Up for RAINN 5K + Yardwork (start planting a butterfly garden!)
- Sunday: Active rest (continue working on butterfly garden!)
FitBit Blaze Goal
I will get at least 10,000 steps in per day – every day this week!
I have a 40 minute commute one way and a desk job so I’m sedentary for a good chunk of the day. This means I need to be pretty active after work to get all those steps in. With a busy sports schedule this week it’ll be a challenge but I’m up for it!
I hope you have a happy, productive week!
